Megan Mcallister: Craigslist Killer ’s Latest Victim

Megan Mcallister: Craigslist Killers Latest
Victim
There are many weird things that happen in your
life and I am sure that you have your stories.
There is one girl that has a horrible story that can
probably trump almost any of ours. This girl is
the Craigslist Killer ’s last victim. His ex-fiancee
Megan Mcallister.
Megan Mcallister stuck with her fiancee while the
whole mess was going on. She really believed
that they were going to be together and get
married. After she figured out it was all true she
went into the jail and broke it off with him. Megan
Mcallister finally decided she wanted to move on
with her life.
Not long after this Philip Markoff killed himself but
not before he wrote her name in blood on his jail
cell wall. How scary must that be to think that she
was dating a serial killer all of that time and didn’t
even know it? Now she is still studying medicine.
I expect that Megan Mcallister will make a great
professional in her career field.

Who is DeAnna Pappas Engaged To?

Former Bachelor and Bachelorette star DeAnna
Pappas appeared on The Bachelor tonight to talk
about being dumped by Brad Womack, who is
once again handing out roses after his first
controversial season as the Bachelor.
You might have noticed that DeAnna was
showing off a diamond engagement ring -- and
not the one she received from Jesse Csincsak
after she went on to star in her own season of
The Bachelorette.
In case you didn't hear the big news, DeAnna is
now engaged to high school teacher Stephen
Stagliana, who she first met at a party for The
Bachelorette: The Men Tell All. (Stephen's twin
brother Michael was a contestant on Jillian
Harrison's
season of the show.)
The couple got engaged this summer, right
around the time Stephen's twin brother Michael
popped the question to Holly Durst, another
former Bachelor contestant. Looks like DeAnna
has moved on from Brad...and Jesse...and
Bachelorette finalist Jason Mesnick, who DeAnna
once had second thoughts about after rejecting
him for Jesse. (Are you keeping up?)

Third Circuit Revives the In re Insurance Brokerage Antitrust Litigation

On August 16, the Third Circuit Court of Appeals
issued its long-awaited decision in the In re
Insurance Brokerage Antitrust Litigation, reversing
Judge Brown ’s dismissal of the case and
breathing new life into plaintiffs’ class action
antitrust conspiracy claims. While the Court’s
200-page opinion agrees with Judge Brown’s
decision to dismiss most of plaintiffs’ claims, the
Court reversed the lower court on the issue of
whether plaintiffs had adequately pled a
conspiracy between Marsh and the insurers with
whom it had entered into contingent commission
agreements. As to that claim, plaintiffs ’ allegation
that those insurers had also agreed not to
compete for each other ’s incumbent business
with Marsh were supported by sufficient factual
allegations to satisfy the requirements of
Twombly (unlike plaintiffs ’ other claims) and had
to be reinstated. Accordingly, unless an en banc
panel of the Third Circuit disturbs the Court ’s
ruling, or the defendants can persuade the
Supreme Court to review the decision (which
seems unlikely), the defendants will soon be
returning to the District of New Jersey to resume
discovery and further litigation.

Kristi Cornwell Remains Identified In Northern Georgia.

The remains of Kristi Cornwell, a woman missing
since 2009, have been identified in Georgia, the
Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) announced
today.
Cornwell was identified through dental records,
GBI spokesman John Bankhead said Monday.
The killer has not yet been identified and there
have been few leads. Cornwell had been missing
since Aug. 2009.
The bones were found this past weekend not far
from where she went missing in Northern
Georgia, CBS News reports.
A website dedicated to finding Kristi Cornwell,
www.kristicornwell.com, has been down today,
likely due to a surge in traffic.
A Google cache of that site shows that these
details were provided:
Kristi was last heard from at approximately 9:00
pm on August 11, 2009 while walking on Jones
Creek Road near Blairsville, Georgia. She was last
seen wearing a white tee shirt and tan shorts.
Authorities from the Union County S.O., the GBI,
GSP, DNR, Dept. of Corrections and additional
officers from neighboring sheriff's departments
joined an extensive search for 6 days of the Jones
Creek Road area. At this time authorities believe
that Kristi Cornwell was abducted by vehicle while
walking on Jones Creek Road, and is believed to
be in extreme danger. The community is being
asked to contact the Union County Sheriff's Office
or the GBI if they have any information
concerning Kristi's disappearance. Also,
authorities are seeking information from anyone
who was in the vicinity of Jones Creek Road
between 8:00 and 10:00 pm on Tuesday, August
11, 2009.

Bird Government Testing, Lightning Or Poison? What Caused Birds To Fall Dead In Arkansas?

huffingtonpost.com. People are baffled with the news of thousands of
birds that fell dead from the sky in Arkansas this
past weekend. The AP reports that a freak
weather event like lightning or hail could be
responsible for killing the countless blackbirds, or
that New Year's fireworks may have startled the
birds, notorious for their poor eyesight, and led
them into the ground. Disease or poison were
also suggested as possibilities, though evidence
suggests they are less likely.
Given another strange incident of thousands of
fish recently dying in Arkansas, Paul Watson and
Alex Jones suggest secret government weapons
testing may be responsible for the birds' deaths.
Let us know what you think is to blame for this
odd occurrence.
