Slain Las Vegas dancer who left finance world to pursue dreams remembered by family, friends

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — More than 80 friends and
family members of a Las Vegas dancer whose
body was found dismembered and encased in
concrete have gathered to remember her at a
church memorial service.
A Catholic Mass was held Thursday for Debora
Flores Narvaez, a performer in the "Fantasy"
show at the Luxor casino resort.
Her older sister, Celeste Flores Narvaez, says she
was envious of Debora, who had left friends and
family and a career in finance two years ago to
chase the life of a Las Vegas showgirl.
An arrest report alleges the former boyfriend,
Jason Griffith, strangled her during an argument.
Griffith is a 32-year-old dancer in the Cirque du
Soleil Beatles show, "Love," at The Mirage.
He faces murder, battery domestic violence and
destroying evidence charges.
Prosecutors say Griffith cut up and stored the
body in containers filled with concrete.
